Hello and greetings from an absolutely blisteringly cold Buenos Aires. In fact, according to some elderly lady wot we just spoke to, this is the coldest it's ever been in BA. And I love it. Bit like Christmas. Anyway....look! Here's Elizabeth! Hello....
Hello everyone. Sam forgot to say that it's snowing! Well, sleeting heavily anyway. All the locals seem rather astonished.
Yes. Anyway, enough of this gripping weather chat. We're here because today is our LAST (full) DAY in South America. Booooo but, at the same time, hooray!
We haven't been idle with our final hours though. After the monster bus journey from Rio (which wasn't actually that bad) we have made the most of the parilla restaurants, lovely wine and marvellous shops. Well I think they're marvellous, not sure The Man To Whom I Am To Be Joined In Holy Wedlock (he's not keen on the title fiance) was so keen on them....
Oh I don't mind really, although I think I'll never understand the fascination with chemists and the gunks therein.
We also managed to find a tea shop, where we were able to order a pot of Twinings English Breakfast. This was a very exciting discovery for us, having been deprived of the good stuff for so long.
Yes, but surely wonderful tea, decent cheese, English takeaway curry AND hot buttered toast is only a day or two away? Hurrah!
Right. All that remains then is to say goodbye. GOODBYE. Thank you for reading. I'm going to have a lie down now. Sam XXX.
BYE. See you very soon. Elizabeth XXX.
