An auspicious day

Yea, verily. For twas upon this very day, 29 years ago, that a mighty spaceship passed over the West Midlands and the aliens deposited one of their spawn, the creature we now know as "Elizabeth." So, everyone, on the count of 3, 1...2...3...HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELIZABETH! Woooo! Woooo! Woooo! Hurrah! Etc! Etc!

Right. We are presently back in Copacabana on Lake Titicaca, about to leave Bolivia (sniff) for Peru, where Inca Trails, Nazca Lines, Edward Leneghans and other more and less dubious delights await us. We spent yesterday on Isla del Sol where we saw various Incan and Tiwanakan ruins - sacrifical tables, temples, important rocks and so forth. We also walked across the island in preparation for our imminent 5 day hike, which took 3 hours but was exhausting. It´s tough up here at 4000 metres above sea level, you know.

Apart from that, since we last spoke, we have really done practically nothing. Just staying with our chums in La Paz, resting, eating...oh, and we went back to Coroico for a long weekend of jollying it up. That´s about it really. Now our adventures have resumed you can expect more of the thrilling accounts of yore. Goodbye.
